Classification and Function of High Pressure Bushing

Hv bushing is mainly used to insulate the incoming and outgoing lines of power equipment such as transformers, reactors, circuit breakers and hV circuits through walls.
Classification:
High pressure bushing can be divided into oil – filled bushing and capacitance bushing.
The cable paper in oil-filled casing is similar to the pressure – sharing plate in capacitive casing. The capacitor core in the capacitive sleeve is a series of coaxial cylindrical capacitors, and in the oil-filled sleeve, the dielectric constant of insulating paper is higher than that of oil, thus reducing the field intensity there.
Oil-filled bushing can be divided into single oil gap and multi oil gap bushing, capacitance bushing can be divided into rubber paper and oil paper bushing.
Uses:
The high voltage bushing is used to insulate and support the high voltage conductor through the partition board (such as wall and metal shell of power equipment) with different potential.
Major obstacles:
Poor connection of internal and external electrical joints, damp and deterioration of casing insulation, lack of oil in casing, partial discharge of capacitor core and discharge of end screen to ground, etc.
