Classification of Current Transformers

Classification of Current Transformers

1. According to the use of points, it can be divided into measuring current transformer and protection of current transformer.
2. According to the current conversion principle, it can be divided into electromagnetic current transformer and electronic current transformer.
3. According to voltage classification, it can be divided into current transformers corresponding to different power grid voltage levels (0.38, 0.6, 1, 3, 6, 10, 20, 35, 66, 110, 220, 330, 500, 750kV and 1000kV).
4. According to the main insulation medium, it can be divided into oil paper insulation current transformer, resin (indoor or outdoor) insulation current transformer, gas (SF6) insulation current transformer and organic insulation current transformer.
5. According to the installation method, it can be divided into core type current transformer, pillar type current transformer, bushing type current transformer and bus type current transformer.
6. According to the number of primary winding turns, it can be divided into single-turn type current transformer and multi-turn type current transformer.
7. According to the current ratio, it can be divided into single current ratio current transformer, multi-current ratio current transformer and single-core multi-current transformer (the same current transformer with different ratio).
8. According to the location of secondary winding, it can be divided into vertical current transformer and inverted current transformer.
9. According to the conditions of use, it can be divided into indoor current transformer and outdoor current transformer.
