The protection facilities in the transformer body structure are:
(1) Oil pillow:
Its capacity is about 8-10% of the transformer oil. The function is to accommodate the change of transformer oil volume due to the change of temperature, limit the contact between transformer oil and air, and reduce the degree of moisture and oxidation of oil. A humidifier is installed on the oil pillow to prevent air from entering the transformer.
(2) Hygroscopers and oil purifiers:
Hygroscopic apparatus, also known as breathing apparatus, is filled with adsorbent, silica gel activated alumina, which is often put into a part of the color changing silica gel, when the blue red, indicating that the adsorbent has been affected with moisture, must be dry or replaced.
Oil purifier is also known as the filter, the net oil cylinder is full of adsorbent, silica gel activated alumina, etc., when the oil through the oil purifier and adsorbent contact, the water, acid and oxide are absorbed, so that the oil clean, prolong the service life of the oil.
(3) Explosion-proof tube (safety airway) :
