252kV/630A OIP Condenser Bushings

Description

OIP condenser bushings (Oil-Impregnated Paper condenser bushings) are electrical insulation components used in high voltage power transformers and other electrical equipment to provide a safe and reliable means of transmitting electrical energy.

They are designed to withstand the high electric field stresses and high temperature variations that are commonly found in high voltage applications. OIP condenser bushings consist of a porcelain insulator, an oil-impregnated paper insulation, and a metal conductor.

The oil-impregnated paper insulation provides excellent insulation properties, while the porcelain insulator provides mechanical support and protection against damage from external forces such as wind and lightning strikes. The metal conductor provides a path for the electrical current.

OIP condenser bushings are typically rated for high voltage and can handle currents ranging from a few hundred amperes to several thousand amperes. They are commonly used in power transformers, circuit breakers, and other high voltage equipment where reliable electrical insulation is essential.
